The mother of five-year-old Usher Raymond V was hoping to regain temporary primary
custody of the boy after he slipped into a coma following the accident at musician Usher's
Atlanta home this week.
Tameka lost primary custody of sons Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely last year but she
requested an emergency custody hearing following
the accident claiming her children were not
properly cared for.
Reports say Tameka broke down in tears after she lost the custody battle of her son from her
singer ex-husband Usher on Friday.
Taking to the stand at the hearing, she said: "I don't know where my kids are, who they're
with, who's taking care of them."
However, Usher claimed he sent an email to his ex every Sunday to let her know what they will
be doing the following week.
The star's lawyer said the children were "thriving" and the pool accident "could have
happened to anyone".
In a heartfelt move Usher then hugged Tameka after the hearing.
