Sisters shot dead for making a video of themselves dancing in the rain

Two teenage sisters, 16 year old Noor Basra and 15 year old Noor Sheza (both pictured above) were shot dead at their home in the town of Chilas, in Pakistan after a video showing the two girls laughing and dancing in the rain was circulated via mobile phones.

Apparently dancing with your sibling in the rain and filming it is a crime punishable by death in the Northern region of Gilgit. The video caused an outrage in the town and a few days later, five men invaded the girls home and shot them dead for  'tarnishing their family's name'. Their mother was also shot dead.

The girls' step-brother, a man named Khutore, is being accused of arranging their murder because he allegedly wanted to 'restore the family's honour'. The sisters' other brother filed a case against him and the four other alleged accomplices who are now on the run. The police are investigating the case.

Barbaric !! Tourist stabbed 17 times for kissing a local girl

A BRITISH teenager knifed 17 times in Turkey after kissing a local girl pleaded with his mother in hospital: “Am I going to die?”

Dwayne Ward has no memory of the attack and was terrified when he regained consciousness and saw his horrific wounds.
Mum Doris yesterday said the two thugs tortured her son with a penknife and stripped him naked before “leaving him to die”.
Dwayne, 17, is now on the way to a remarkable recovery — but docs believe he is lucky to be alive.
The blade just missed his heart, his lung was punctured and his jugular almost sliced as the vile yobs slashed at his throat and wrist.

He was knifed so hard in the leg his bone chipped and he was stabbed repeatedly in his backside.
Doris, 51, had also been enjoying the dream holiday with Dwayne and brother Darren, 32, in Marmaris before it became a nightmare.
Mechanical engineering student Dwayne and Darren had been out clubbing when they became separated in the early hours of Tuesday.
Doris told The Sun that as he drifted in and out of consciousness at the resort’s hospital, he said: “Mum, am I going to die? Where have I got these stab marks from?”
His mum said: “He only remembers being hit on the back of the head. We hope he never remembers. They left him for dead.”

The teen was also robbed, with the attackers even taking his Help for Heroes wristband.
But when his dad Wayne Randall, 45, visited his hospital bedside after flying in from the UK over the weekend, Dwayne joked: “Dad, can you get me a McDonald’s?”
His mum added: “He’s such a fit young boy. Someone not in his condition wouldn’t have survived.”
Cops arrested Attilay Dincer, 26, and a 24-year-old named only as Ismail A. They are expected to be charged with attempted murder.

WOW: World's oldest living siblings alive 818 years and counting

World's oldest living siblings alive 818 years and counting
A woman turned 105 this week and when adding up her age with all of her other siblings, the years amount to 818.

The Melis siblings, who live on the island of Sardinia, are officially the world's oldest, with nine brothers and sisters clocking up a total of 818 years between them, the Italian news media reported.

The older sibling, Consolata, is 105 and has nine children, 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, according to the news media, adding that the longevity of the Melis siblings had been recognized as a Guinness World Record.

Consolata turned 105 on Wednesday, according to reports in the news media, adding that the certification of the Guinness World Record has been awarded after a worldwide review of seven years.

The town where the Melis siblings live is called Perdasdefogu, and is located in the southeast corner of the island, which has some of the oldest people in the world. The next oldest are Claudia 99, Mary 97, Antonio 93, Concetta 91, Adolfo 89, Vitalio 86, Vitalia 81 and Mafalda 78.

Claudia still attends church every week and Adolfo runs the local bar. Luca Deiana, professor of clinical biochemistry at the University of Sassari, Sardinia, who has studied some 2,500 centenarians on the island since 1996, said the longevity of the inhabitants of the island was due to several factors.

"On one hand it is genetics, longevity is inherited, but there is a bounty of the land and the local fruit, especially pears and plums," he told the news media.

15-year-old Canadian girl invents flashlight powered only by body heat[Watch Video]

A 15-year-old girl in Canada has invented a flashlight that only needs the warmth of the hand to turn on.
Ann Makosinski, a high school junior in Victoria, British Columbia, was trying to think of a way of harvesting untapped energy when she was inspired to make the flashlight.
She realized that the warmth generated by the human body was an overlooked energy source.
Her project objective was to create a flashlight that ran solely off the heat of the hand.
That objective was accomplished when she discovered Peltier tiles, which produce electricity when one side of the tile is heated and the other is cooled.
Makosinski realized she could use these tiles to create energy for her flashlight if she left the device hollow.
Holding the flashlight on the outside would cause the tiles to heat  up on one side while the ambient air would cool down the tile on the inside of the flashlight.
The power created by the tiles was enough to power an LED light, but it did not create enough voltage.
To troubleshoot that issue she created a circuit that would allow for transformers, upping the voltage.
It worked! The flashlight does have one issue: it works better in colder temperatures since the inside is better able to cool down comparative to the person's body heat.
