Destitute picked up in Marina Lagos this morning
People observed this vehicle picking up destitute at Marina Lagos around 6:30 this morning.
Office of youth and social development was written on the KIA Motors truck that carried away
the homeless people seen loitering and sleeping in the area. Wonder where they are taking
these ones too since Gov Peter Obi of Anambra is quarreling with Gov Fashola for allegedly
dumping over seventy homeless people in Onitsha last week.
Governor Fashola has since said only 14 destitute were repatriated from the state and not the
70 people widely reported. The governor said the homeless people said they were from
Anambra state and needed assistance to go back home, so they took them to Onitsha.
