Mikel May Leave Stamford Bridge For Turkey

It has been reported that Nigerian international and Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi may be leaving Stamford Bridge club Chelsea for Galatasaray in Turkey come the new season.
Mikel may not be resuming with Jose Mourinho who has hinted that he only has five constant starting players, with the rest being open to challenge for a shirt in the first team squad.
Mikel’s performance for the English club has been average despite showing flahes of what he is known for, to further frustrate the player’s effort, he most times being substituted for attackers when initial game plans go awry.
Mikel recently proved his enormous potential at the Confederations Cup where he revelled in an attacking role for Nigeria. But, with Mikel failing to live up to his huge billing at the Bridge, it could only be a matter of time before he leaves for Turkey with Galatasaray believed to be desperate to sign the 26 year old.
Chelsea’s attempts to sign Serbian midfield schemer, Nemanja Matic might bring the curtain down on Mikel’s career at Chelsea.
