Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Father sleeps through big moment against Brazil

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's father missed his son's goal at Maracana because he fell asleep.
"I didn’t see it,’’ said Mark Chamberlain, “I was dropping his mother off at the airport at 6am this morning so I fell asleep – it was on tape so I’ll watch it in a minute. I realised when his agent rang me up.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain breathed energy into England when coming off the bench in the second half. Usually used wide by Arsenal, Oxlade-Chamberlain shone in a central role against Brazil. England’s manager, Roy Hodgson, acknowledged that Oxlade-Chamberlain could be a long-term force in the centre.
