The police are investigating what they say is an apparent home invasion on Memorial Drive that sent two people to the hospital.
Detective Donti Rosciti said a man and woman were stabbed in an incident at the second-floor apartment at 21 Memorial Drive around 2:30 p.m. Thursday and that police are still trying to determine how the assailant or assailants got in. He said the two were taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where one remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds.
