Gunman kills 12 and injures 15 at Washinton Navy Yard rampage

The deadly attack at the Washington Navy Yard was carried out by one of the military's own: a defense contract employee and former Navy reservist who used a valid pass to get onto the installation and started firing inside a building, killing 12 people before he was slain in a gun battle with police. The motive for the mass shooting — the deadliest on a military installation in the U.S. since the tragedy at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009 —remains a mystery, investigators said. But a profile of the lone gunman, a 34-year-old Aaron Alexis, was coming into focus. He was described as a Buddhist who had also had flares of rage, complained about the Navy and being a victim of discrimination and had several run-ins with law

That is how I used physics to prove gay marriage wrong”.  Nigerian news website This Day Live reported on the experiment:  “A University of Lagos post graduate student,

Ladies: 7 things ruining your beautiful skin

1. NOT TAKING OFF YOUR MAKEUP This is the number one of seven bad habits that are damaging your skin, and I think you all know why. I now realize this is so important ladies, as wrinkles around your eyes are the number one thing we do not want.

2. CHEWING GUM Weird right? We rely on gum to take away our nasty breath after that garlic lunch, but some experts actually say that it can be doing your skin damage. The idea behind this theory is that since the muscles in

Nutrition Desk: 9 food combinations to make you lean and fit

After brewing yourself a cup of green tea, squeeze in the juice of one whole lemon. 1. Eggs and Mango Gives you: Firm skin There’s no need to apply several products to get good, firm skin. Just eat some eggs and mango, especially now that the fruit is in season. Eggs are naturally rich in amino acids that are essential for formation of skin-plumping collagen. And mango, which is rich in Vitamin C, works with these acids to boost collagen production. This helps build back lost stores in the body, which can significantly improve the appearance of skin. Do it right: To give a boost to your next breakfast, pair an omelette with a cup of fresh mango chunks, which supply nearly an entire day’s supply of Vitamin C. 2. Red Bell Peppers and Black Beans Gives you: Better Immunity They look good at the veggie market and are expensive. But here’s a good reason to buy them. You’ll absorb more immune-boosting plant iron by adding in some red bell peppers on your plate. Iron in black beans is hard for the
