Girl accuses dad of having sex with her

  A Primary 5 pupil accused her 57-year-old  father of  having had  carnal knowledge of her  in the last three months.

The primary school pupil during interrogation said her mother brought her to her father after years of separation, adding that since the sacrilegious act began, her father had been giving her N200  as pocket money to school.

Unsure of who to confide in, she said she told her mother during one of her visits only for the father to  dismiss the claim, stating that he could not bring himself that low as to having carnal knowledge of his biological daughter.

Micheal Jackson's daughter hospitalized for possible suicide attempt

Michael Jackson's teen daughter, Paris Jackson, was hospitalized early Wednesday morning in what is being described as a "possible suicide attempt."

Paris was taken out of her Calabasas, Calif., family house on a stretcher at around 2 a.m., and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

But the King of Pop's ex-wife, Debbie Rowe,said that Paris, 15, was "rushed to the hospital with cuts on her wrist.

Corpse of Missing Two-Year-Old Child Found In Pit In Imo

The corpse of a two year old Chikamso Nwocha, who was declared missing by her parents, has been found inside a borrow pit after three days search at Irete in Owerri West local government area of Imo State. The child, who was the second baby of her father, was discovered to have lost her way to the house after she followed her mother to urinate outside though without her knowledge.

 

The incident occurred on May 25 around 2am and after a thorough search by both the parents and other neighbours the whereabouts of the baby was still unknown.

 

However, the news of the ugly incident attracted the attention of villagers as they converged at the borrow pit where the child’s corpse was found.

 

Narrating the story to Daily Trust, father of the baby Lucky Nwocha said his daughter had gone outside the house with his wife to urinate without his wife knowing that her daughter went outside with her.

 

When the wife eventually returned to the house, she quickly noticed that the daughter was not lying down with her sister inside the house, and it was at that time she started searching for her in every corner of the house and the compound.

Popular Bollywood star,Jiah Khan, found dead in Mumbai

Bollywood star Jiah Khan, 25, has been found hanged at her apartment in Mumbai, say police. Detectives say her mother found her body at 10.45 on Monday evening. A post-mortem examination is being carried out to establish the cause of death. 

The mother and sister of the actress are said to have gone out and she was alone at the apartment when the incident happened.

They found Jiah hanged when they returned home.

Fellow Bollywood stars and fans of the actress took to Twitter to express their shock at her death.

Ram Gopal Varma, who directed her debut film Nishabd, said that she had been 'very depressed' about her career.

Khan grew up in London and moved to Mumbai to start a career in Bollywood. She made her first film in 2007 opposite Amitabh Bachchan.

Riot at Anambra State University after two students are shot dead by robbers

There was riot in Igbariam campus in Anambra State University this morning. Armed robbers invaded the students' lodge last night to rob and they ended up shooting quite a few students. One student died last night, while another one who was shot died early this morning in the hospital.
Some students decided the best way to respond to the incident was to riot against the school and state government, blaming lack of security for their fellow students' deaths. 
Students also lamented the fact that they pay N135,000 per session for new students and 107,000 for old students and they still don't have security or even a functioning hospital.

The rioting students went on the streets insisting on speaking with Governor Peter Obi. The students calmed down after the school Vice Chancellor addressed them about an hour ago.

The suspect was alleged to have murdered his lover after a hot argument inside her apartment on the 10th of may, 2013.

 In a desperate move to cover his act, the suspect went away with the deceased phones, laptop, documents and disconnected every link between him and the deceased on facebook.

30-year-old woman gang-raped in India

A 30-year-old American woman was gang-raped in India in the latest in a series of sexual assaults on foreigners in the country.

Police said the woman had been staying in Manali, a popular backpackers' destination in the Himalayan foothills and was returning from a nearby hot spring when she accepted a lift from a trucker after failing to find a taxi.

Instead of taking her to Manali, the driver took her more than ten miles in a different direction where he and two other men raped her.

A spokesman for the United States embassy in New Delhi said it was aware of the case but could not comment. "We are in contact with the authorities but due to issues of privacy we have no further comment," he said.

Superintendent Vinod Kumar Dhawan of Kullu police said the victim was in a state of shock.

"They took her 18kms away for the Manali town and gang-raped her before dumping her by a bridge in the morning. She could not note the truck number due to darkness but has given some important leads on which we are working. She was traumatised and required medical attention. A test to confirm rape was conducted and we are awaiting the report," he told the Telegraph.

However, the number of attacks and the scale of violence against women has continued unabated despite intense media scrutiny and greater pressure on the police to act.

Crane Operator Electrocuted To Death On Set Of A Movie

A 29 year old crane operator Moses Okwudili (pictured in black operating the crane) died yesterday evening Monday June 3rd on the set of Elvis Chuks movie, after the crane he was operating made contact with high tension wires. Witnesses said Moses pushed the crane too far up, and was looking at the monitor when the crane made contact with a naked wire. He was electrocuted on the spot.

People around gave him CPR before rushing him to a nearby hospital where he later died. The movie director, Elvis Chuks, was standing right beside him checking out monitors when the sad incident occurred. They were shooting a scene with Nse Ikpe Etim Clifford when Moses was electrocuted.

A distraught Chuks has temporarily suspended the movie production as they mourn Moses' passing. He leaves behind a young child. RIP, Moses.
